Let's get this blog into a book.
Welcome (back) to History of the Button
Nearly 20 years ago, I started a blog with the same title. Bush the Younger was President. Then times changed, sites disappeared, and so on. But the kernel of this always stuck with me. Nearly nobody (Rachel Plotnick excepted) has told this story. This is what I must do.
History of the Button is the story of how we perceive and interact with technology, from the original cameras, flashlights, and doorbells all the way to the digital explosion we see today.
This will become a book. I will self-produce the book since that’s how I started my career, doing book production. The tools are all easy enough for me. Working at Franklin, Beedle & Associates 30-35 years ago taught me all I needed to know about making books.
I will also self-publish the book since it’s easier to do so today. And frankly, I don’t really trust any publishers out there to do this book proper.
